Cookie Policy
This policy explains how the Mathcoby website handles cookie choices, analytics preferences, and basic browser storage.
Effective date: 14 October 2026. This policy distinguishes essential session cookies, browser preferences and optional analytics.
Your Choices
Accept Analytics enables optional analytics only when GA4 is configured. Reject Analytics keeps analytics off and does not prevent bookings, inquiries or reviews. “Cookie Preferences” in the footer reopens the same choices so you can change or withdraw consent without an account. There is only one optional category, analytics; no marketing consent is bundled into forms.
Essential Admin Sessions
Production admin sign-in uses the __Host-mathcoby_admin session cookie (the configured name may differ locally). It is HttpOnly, Secure in production and SameSite=Lax in the documented same-origin deployment. Its lifetime is up to the configured session duration, normally 24 hours; the server also enforces 15-minute inactivity expiry and logout revocation. It is needed only for private admin access and is not an analytics cookie.
Browser Preferences
mathcoby_cookie_consent and mathcoby_theme_preference use localStorage, not cookies. They store your analytics choice and theme preference until changed or browser data is cleared. sessionStorage also records whether this tab has attempted an API connection; this is a functional connection marker, not a marketing identifier. Admin browser storage includes sidebar state and activity timestamps; authentication relies on the HttpOnly cookie, not a browser-stored token.
Optional Google Analytics
When enabled and accepted, GA4 can use _ga and _ga_
- Application events describe page views, submission actions, project groups and contact-link actions. They exclude message contents, names, email addresses and phone numbers; query strings and fragments are removed from application page/referrer values.
- Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in application configuration. Enhanced measurement and data-retention settings must also be reviewed in the GA4 property; automatic outbound/form tracking must not capture private URLs or form data.
Withdrawal and Third-Party Requests
Rejecting through Cookie Preferences disables application analytics and attempts to remove accessible first-party GA cookies. It does not erase reports already held by Google; contact us for a data-rights request where applicable. Choices apply to this browser/origin; separate devices and cleared browser storage need separate choices. Google Fonts and jsDelivr remain external rendering requests, not optional analytics. Opening WhatsApp, social links or other external sites subjects that interaction to their own policies.
